So what if..

What would happen if the check bounced? The check with the $465 fee? I really am curious about this and closely monitoring my account.

I would think they would send the whole thing back to you, not deny it. The approval/denial phase happens after biometrics as far as what I've read. That's why it is good to send money order for things like this.

Uhhh ur app would get returned or denied. That's probably why they prefer money orders

I read somewhere on the USCIS website that they would try to run it again. They process the checks electronically, so they are able to run it a couple of times more with a 24 hr wait time before each trial (24 hrs is just my assumption).
It's always better to make sure the $$ is in the account. I didn't use my bank acct until the check cleared. I used other cards or cash just in case I forgot and overspent.

This is stupid. Why would they deny you for a bounced check?
They would just return it and asks for the payment.

Better not to have that happen. Writing a bad check is a crime involving moral turpitude if it's intentional, and you don't want to have to argue that ;)
