Timeframe between arrival and cashing my check
 

For those of you who sent personal checks:

What was the timeframe between the date USCIS received your applications and the date they cashed your checks????

I sent my app on Saturday thru USPS and it was supposed to arrive on Monday according to my receipt. I also paid for tracking confirmation but it stopped updating Monday night (technically Tuesday morning) @ 1AM!!

I'm interested to know how much longer I should wait before I start calling USPS until they confirm delivery or tell me where my package is...

Which USPS service did you use? I sent it through USPS Express. Gonna go home and see the status asap. Sent mine yesterday, should be somewhere in Chicago right now for sure if not in the lockbox.

2Face what's upp dude! I sent mine in yesterday as express mail as well. Let's see who's baby gets delivered first :p haha best of luck to both of us.. And everyone else on here..

I submitted my application on 18th, received on the 20th, got my acceptance by e-mail on 24th. And today, 29th the check was finally shown as cashed in my parents' bank account.So who knows the order they are doing things?

my package arrived on aug 17, check was cashed on 20, confirmation 21, i797 and biometric on aug 27. biometric sept 21

I think I used express??? It wasn't next day delivery cuz I mailed it on a Saturday. They're closed on sunday anyways.

If I would've known it would take this long I would have delivered it myself. I live 1 hr away from Chicago.

I wonder if anyone tried delivering it themselves :D

Yeah. I've been noticing the confirmation comes about 5-6 days following the day you send your applications by express mail.

My application got to the Phoenix lockbox on the 20th and my money order was cashed in on the 27th!

Process to check your status on a Western Union money order is this:

Step 1: Call 800-999-9660
Step 2: Press 1 for English
Step 3: Press 1 for more information on your money order
Step 4: Enter the 11-digit money order number located on the top right of your money order followed by the pound (#) sign, i.e., 12345678901#
Step 5: Enter the amount of your money order, i.e., 46500#
Step 6: Listen to the status of your money order
