Official Answer to the SSN Question

^ I was just about to post this. I wonder why they are only answering this for I-765 and not i-182d, which also has SSN question

i think it's because the i-765 is for anybody to apply while for i-821d is for specific people.

I was issued a SSN when I was young, I put it on the forms and received an A# from USCIS on the I-765 confirmation receipts. Does this mean I won't have the same social anymore when applying for one that says I am allowed to work legally in the U.S.if accepted?

I believe it could be bc on 821D it only asks for your number. The wording on the i765 says "list any numbers you Haver ever used" making it a little more complicated

True, that probably is the reason. I just thought if you clarify one, why not clarify the other?
