new news about deferred action

so i went to an appointment this Tuesday with my lawyer about starting my process with the whole deferred action. Like everyone i was thinking that it would be a cinch? Since they did state anyone who has lived her for a long period of time before i forgot what year, and has no criminal record with a high school diploma or GED can apply right? Wrong. My lawyer said that the people who will look case by case will judge us based on our academics. So being the artsy fartsy kid that i was in high school i graduated with a 1.5-1.7 GPA, basically a C-. No i'm not proud, but i'm just proud i graduated, like any kid? Hey at least im not pregnant nor do drugs and what not right?. Hah im currently in community college, Ive only had 4 classes from the previous year. I have a GPA of 2.064...not that great again, i know. Anyways my lawyer pretty much said that the reason why they will probably not accept cases like mine is because we give the dreamers a bad name. ouch. That the people who hate us, will rub this in the pro immigration supports and use people like myself to say that "hah these are your 'dreamers". You know... in a bad way. This hurts. Because let me tell you this, i have NEVER done good in school. Ever since 1st grade i have received mediocre grades...You know i would think these people would realise, "hmm hey this kid might be a good person, shes attending a college obviously for some reason?" But no, i guess they don't believe in second chances. All i want is to get my 2 year associates to become a registered nurse in the meantime to actually say i can help save lives. Just because i'm no scholar does not mean i'm not a dreamer. Im an artist at heart with a passion to help humanity. Don't get me wrong, i'm all for the really smart people! they are the ones who deserve better! like citizenship. I wont be able to even get that permit to get my degree...did they ever stop to think that maybe not all of us are bright scholars? What about the people who just want to be a vet, an accountant, a painter, a surfer or a singer? Since when was being a "dreamer" associated with those only with a higher education? This really stings. All i wanted was to attend a film school to maybe one day work with amazing directors like quinten tarentino, tim burton, tony scott (RIP) or Guillermo del toro, but lives harsh realities got in that way, but new doors opened to an RN possibility. Now they have closed on me once again. Apparently MY dreams don't count and people like myself don't deserve this deferred action. My whole question really is who else has heard of this new news?

your lawyer is dumb and if you believe that shit your dumber than your lawyer.
why the fuck are they going to disregard their own guidelines?

I suggest that you get a new lawyer and research alil bit more on what this whole DACA is about.

Your lawyer is a fucking dumbass. Hell, he might even be a fucking conservative. Get a new lawyer. Tell him to fuck off. It's bullshit. Stay away from that fucking lawyer.

Can't believe this shit is happening. Your lawyer is not USCIS and probably doesn't want you to apply. You are better off by sending it yourself.

^This. I bet the motherfucker most likely has a fucking partisan agenda; I smell a fucking Republican.

Tell your lawyer that I literally wanted to wipe my ass with my mouse right after I read what he told you.

if you have no criminal background history i don't see why you would even need a lawyer, not unless you just don't wanna do the process on your own. That's crazy talk. You go ahead and apply girl, you deserve this. =) As long as you meet the requirements you are good to go, you will not be rejected for grades nor gpa

Yeah, and Judas hung out with Jesus. And, look what happened. Fuck her. Get a new lawyer. She doesn't know what she is talking about. Like Erik said, she probably doesn't want you to apply. She is not USCIS. I have not heard anything about GPA being an issue. That's fucking bullshit.
