Biometrics Signature Flub!!!
Well, I did my biometrics today and everything went well until I remembered how I did my signature. I have two first names, one of which I don't use at all. When the lady told me to sign, I only signed using my two first names and completely forgot to sign my last name. I normally sign with one of my first names and then my last name. So on the biometrics signature, I signed only with my two first names instead of how I usually do my signature.
You guys think that'll be a problem? I did go back and ask if I can re-do my signature, but the lady said I shouldn't worry since a signature is unique to the person. She also said she couldn't call it back anyways since they've sent it out but she didn't seem too worried. It was a real 'doh!' moment for me. |
Re: Biometrics Signature Flub!!!
My signature is tiny and very easy to do. Only my initials. The guy was like "thats it?" i was like yup.
You shouldn't have a problem btw. |
Re: Biometrics Signature Flub!!!
That signature will be used on your EAD......you might want to call them up and ask what steps can be taken to correct it.

Re: Biometrics Signature Flub!!!
You will most likely have to set up an appointment AFTER you get the EAD, then you have to go in, tell them you want to change it, then you have to wait for a new one.

Re: Biometrics Signature Flub!!!
If the EAD is approved, does a new signature matter? I was thinking it might be a problem regarding approval, but if they've approved it, then there wasn't a problem? I'm confused a bit.

Re: Biometrics Signature Flub!!!
Nobody really looks at the signature part of your ID. So either:
A) Change your signature to the one you just used at biometrics. B) Try to get a schedule to change it when you receive it. C) Don't even worry about it. |
