Support Centers and Holiday Season!
 

So we all know the Holiday season is just around the corner, which means winter break for most schools and federal agencies.
I am still waiting to hear a final decision from USCIS, Im hoping to hear something from them before the presidential elections.

But here is my question: Does anyone have a clue til when the support centers will be working this year before they close for the holidays?

I just hope to get an answer from them soon and not have to wait til next year because of the holidays! what do you guys think??

I believe they only close on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Correct me if I'm wrong

This isn't community college. They close on federal holidays.

i understand what you're saying, but i really doubt they take a day off and then go back to work the next. do most federal jobs do that?

I don't understand your question. They close on the day of the holiday. If the holiday falls on a saturday its observed on the Friday and if it falls on a sunday its observed on the monday. Does this answer your question?

@tommydreamer thank you for that! i guess what i really wanna know is whether federal agencies such as service centers take weeks or even months off during the holiday season the same way congress does! we all know that congress adjourns for several months and they tend to return some time around march! i fear that service centers would do the same! i dont know, im just paranoid! i hope i make sense!

They do not. People do take vacations and resources diminish. In example black Friday will have a lot less resources then the monday before it.

Funny i was just thinking this earlier but not really worried about it because i'm sure i'll be approved before the nxt major holiday. I think the longest break they may take is maybe thanksgiving or so. Maybe close on that wed or thurs of that week.

They'll close thursday and they'll be like 3 people there on friday and everyone will be busy shopping online Monday.
