Is it normal to just not care?

I don't feel any sense of excitement about getting my EAD card soon. I have already completed my biometrics (almost 3 weeks ago), but for the most part I almost never think of this anymore.

I see most people on here talking about how they can't sleep or go with out checking the status on uscis.gov. Honestly, the only time I check the website is when I simply happen to remember.

Maybe it has to do with the fact that my life is absorbed by college work? Or maybe it's because I know this country is headed for total collapse by the end of this decade at the latest? I'm not sure. How do you guys feel about this?

BTW: Congratz to all the people who have been approved so far ! :D

It's because you're currently in college. Some of us have finished college and are looking for work but need the EAD to even begin the process.

Even some of us in college are anxious, because we need the money to pay for food and shelter.

Nice optimism about the country by the way...

I feel incredibly anxious and overwhelmed by the wait because all my plans depend on getting approved. I live in a border city so I can't get out without crossing a BP checkpoint. And I've done it before but it is very risky to claim to be a USC.

And I got accepted to UT Austin but there is no way I can go there withouth getting approved. I also have money for a car down payent, but I wouldnt be able to get a license nor the chance do monthly payments. So right now im just waiting anxiously to go on with my life. And it is affecting my school grades im failing my Spanish and Biology courses -__-

No, it's not normal.

I recommend you go see a doctor ASAP.

As each day passes, I care less and less about being approved. That's life.

Yea, I can see that people definitely have it much harder than me. I don't work and my parents are able to pay for my college education. Sorry to hear that Marco.

Also Karega, If you would do some research on your own. With out the influence of me or the mainstream media. You would understand why I made that statement. In my own point of view, to think that this country, or the world economy as a whole, will make it past 2020 is simply an uninformed opinion.

Mr. Dick,

I doubt I'll be unemployed. Being a STEM major, I have lots of job opportunities coming out of college. I actually already have job offers and I'm only a sophomore.

Ha, my brother who's in college seems to be feeling that way too. I agree with Karega - it must be the fact that he has something to do, being in school and all, and doesn't necessarily have to look for jobs NOW.
