Official Social Security Card arrival thread

My Social Security Card came today in the mail! This was exactly 4 weeks and 1 day after I applied for the number at the Social Security Office.

As I was one of the first to apply for a card, those that applied shortly after me should start receiving their cards. Be sure to post on here once you get yours! Also, be sure to update your timeline.

Congrats! Just a though, but 29 days is a while to wait...

People are saying that the process for the SSN shouldn't take that long? Hmm...

I think so too, but maybe because he was part of the first group that got approved and maybe SSA took longer to get their act together for this. I know a person who applied last Monday and got his card in mail today, he also did not wait 10 days after approval but just 7.

Next is a DL, for those that haven't already applied or received it yet. I only have a drivers permit, however, I'm scheduled for my drivers test this Thursday. I really hope I pass! If I do, the DL should arrive no later than two weeks.

Oh boy! Do we really need a Social Security Number Arrival Thread? EVERYONE that gets approved will be able to obtain an SSN (if they don't already have one).

People will want to start posting that their card finally came, so this provides a place for those posts. That way they aren't scattered all over or being posted in threads that are meant for other topics.

But hey Tommy, this is a new fresh and clean thread! Can't you tell how polished it is?! It isn't official until the title says it's official ;).
