Who did NOT wait the 10 day wait period for SSN?
 

They are saying you need to wait 10 days before going to the SSA office to apply for a SSN because you will not be in the system and will not get verified.

Did anyone go without waiting 10 days and received their SSN in the mail in less than 10 business days?

Many advised against the walk-in biometrics, but turned out many got approved before their scheduled bios.

Just wondering if is concrete about the 10 day wait for SSN, which seems odd to me it would take that long to get updated to systems when everything is automated....Bios didnt take that long to be updated to USCIS.

why are some going back to get a print out? Because they want their number asap.

What for? For DL and jobs.

Can a print out be valid to use at the DMV? Depends on the state. I know that they accept it in CA. Heck, I'm not even sure if they check for it as long as your app has your number.

How much for the print out? free

And how does the print out actually look (is it like a copy of the SSN card or just the states the numbers?)

i went to the SSA office the same day i recived my EAD, and i was told that i should recieve my card in 7 to 10 days, and ill go tomorrow to get my print out. I also did a walk bio and im actually the first one to be approved outta all the dreamers that applied with my lawyer lol and i didnt send my package on August 15th.

Did the SSA office say anything about not being in the system and/or a 10 day wait period to get verified in the system before sending out the card?

I didnt wait those 10 days either from approval that is. I applied yesterday and will be going
Tomorrow to get a print out. Wish me luck, the ssa employee never mentioned anything about those 10 days and
He said i should get my card in 7-10 days. Some members here claim
I got lucky because my receipt says 2 weeka and it doesnt have a REF#

me too.. got approved the 9 and went today to apply for my ssn with no issues

According to some whom advise waiting 10 days, they state if you go prior to the 10 days, you can expect 3 weeks to get your card in the mail. We shall wait and see! Guys, once you get it in the mail, post about it immediately here to confirm such allegations were true.

I went yesterday to apply for my social and it wasn't the 10 days. The guy who helped me said that I will receive my social in the mail min about a week. He did not say anything about me not being verified or anything.

he never mentioned anything about getting veryfied in the system or waiting 10 days to get verified. my reciept i got from him also didn't have a reference #, it just states that i applied for a social security card and i should get in 7 to 10 days.

I think mr dick posted a picture of his print out, u just have to look for it

I didn't wait the 10 days either. I went the next day after I got my EAD, everything went smooth. I should be getting my SSN this week.

In the shortest words... the 10 day wait it's "to be sure". 7-10 business days from the day you get approved.
