Reading as a hobby?

So there's a thread for tv shows and I think I just saw one for Youtube channels and I thought hey what about a thread for bookworms! :)

I enjoy reading and always carry a book with me wherever I go; I suspect I'm an introvert. Anyways, I try to read a variety of books from mistery, drama, fantasy, sci-fi, historical fiction, non-fiction, etc.

Anybody else enjoy reading?

Right now I'm reading The Valkyries by Paulo Coelho.

Wall St Journal
Why Nations Fail: The Origins of Power, Prosperity, and Poverty
The Price of Inequality: How Today's Divided Society Endangers Our Future
Winner Take All: China's Race for Resources and What It Means for the World
The World Is Flat
When China Rules the World: The End of the Western World and the Birth of a New Global Order

I never liked fictions except the 18+ ones with pics..

I watched her TedTalk and absolutely loved it! :) Speaking of introverts whenever I am reading in public or let's say thinking without doing anything else (so I'm just sitting there) some people have said are you okay? lol

I'm reading Personal Development for Smart People: The Conscious Pursuit of Personal Growth by Steve Pavlina. This book is so dope it's helping me now that I have my work permit and SSN and soon DL I'm realizing I need to improve myself as a person. I recommend this book it's an eye opener.

I love reading, and I mostly read series books, or novels with historical background. Right now I'm reading "Uglies" by Scott Westerfield. I just finished Lisa See's "Shanghai Girls" and that book almost made me cry. It's basically about undocumented US Chinese immigrants during WW2. What they went thru really hits home to what we're going thru right now....probably worse because of the generation....but it's history repeating itself. I would recommend it to every dreamer.

I'm an avid reader. I do read a lot of books, but I read more essays and research papers by financial analysts and economists. I have a Nexus 7 tablet that I do all my reading on. As for a book, I'm reading "All the Devils are Here", and for research papers I have http://www.icmacentre.ac.uk/pdf/fina...iskchapter.pdf on deck
