Tried registering for selective services said they couldn't verify my SSN and also the sss.gov website said the same when i tried to register on their website. Any suggestions?

Do the mail in card that is found in any post office. I registered for selective service before I had a social and just recently mailed them a copy of my ssn card and I checked online and they received it.

Why exactly do we need to register? Do we get any benefits from it or something? Also I thought it was just for USC's but it seems like I'm wrong. What if we don't register?

Basic info like date, name, and address, and now: ssn #. :-D

All males under the age of 26 must register, USC, PR, and undocumented. It helps with AOS later in life and protecting US Citizenship (it could be delayed), also receiving financial aid and federal jobs.

Selective Service does not collect any information which would indicate whether or not you are undocumented. You want to protect yourself for future U.S. citizenship and other government benefits and programs by registering with Selective Service. Do it today.

Because its only for working so that's why it doesn't come up as valid if you try using it for anything else,if u try to cash a check at wal mart it will say that is not a valid ssn, ones u become u resident it won't come up anymore.go on ssnvalidator.com and it will tell u that your number has never been giving but in reality it has.
