My father in law he's white says this work permit thing is a scam from the government that they just want money n that the work permit dosent do anything n told me not to apply !! What yall think

I'm still applying I just don't get why he says its a scam ! I mean its on the news n stuff but he's like u can't get deported bc I have a child I was like o yes u can

He's right. A month after we get our EADs, they will start falling apart and dissolve into nothing, vanishing without a trace. Our Social Security Card will soon follow after that.

Once you try calling USCIS to attempt to obtain a replacement EAD, you will no longer be in the system. USCIS will have destroyed all of your paperwork and deleted your case. Soon after that, ICE will be at your door to ship you back to your own country.

Don't bother applying.
