Got my DL today and it expires on the same day as EAD... Should I go get my ID?
 

So my DL expres in 2 years on the same day as my EAD...
Should I go get my ID? Do u guys think my ID will expire in 5-6 years? Or same as DL?

Yes, if you have your DL you don't need your ID, since your DL is an ID. However, I would think it would expire when your EAD does.

It's good to have both, I'm taking both out when i get approved.

The ID expires the same time as DL and also has Limited Term on it.

I got both. Well, when I pass the driving part of the test I'll have both. I think it helps to have two. Although, you already have a license when I took my test it helped that I had a gotten my state ID first. Also, sometimes you could need two forms of ID for whatever reason. It wouldn't hurt to have both.

I would try to get the ID as well
I got my California DL for 5 years it says nothing about EAD or limited term etc, looks exactly like a citizens DL
But i also go my ID and that one expires in 6 years for some odd reason
So maybe in your state the ID will expire later as well

We both applied at the Montebello DMV on the same day and time but I applied for BOTH. My ID expires in 2018, I haven't gotten my DL in the mail yet.

i've seen people here on the forum from TX say that the ID and DL both expire in two years, i know alot of us where trying to get the ID next year so when our DL expired we would be able to renew with the ID, but its no use since both expire in two years. so waiting to get the ID a year later than the DL makes no sense, the ID will still expire in one year. they go by the EAD expiration.
