Look my dear undocumented dudes. We can spend hours and hours and fucking hours on end arguing probability for CIR and disagreeing over good and bad signs for reform until we shit pumpkins and elves. Just be positive; whether you want to admit it or not, the political climate for negotiations looks relatively good now.

Re: Don’t believe the post-election hype: Immigration reform is unlikely in 2013
Interesting...
But keep in mind, Republicans also want that "Latino" vote. I would think in order for both parties to continue to get their minority group votes they would need to: 1. President Barack Obama and the Democrats needs to keep their promise and push for the Dream Act so that the following Democratic Party candidate can win the minority group votes. 2. Republicans are also aware if they don't push for immigration reform, in which they are right now... with a watered down version... Achieve Act or whatever is called (not the right direction, since I believe it's Dream Act or nothing) - they can be in a long haul on gaining trust on minority groups. 3. Immigrants that graduate take their skill overseas... hence the Achieve Act was introduced, but I believe majority of us have yet to finish school or persue masters or doctrines due to lack of funds. So thats a very small portion of immigrants that fall into that category... Again Dream Act or nothing to gain trust and support from minority groups. 4. Dream Act would support immigrants who are here that want to have the American dream, and utilize their skills and knowledge in America. Sure, Americans might argue "we are taking their jobs" but to be quiet honest.... like any sports team...errrr and example: let's take soccer. A manager might have handful of players for the same position so it creates competition. The harder you work, the higher the chances you have to be the starting player. It's time to wake up and smell the coffee... some motivation to push America to be competiting with countries in different areas such as technology, economy, and etc. People are complaining anyways about handouts and what not... 5. DIVERSITY- who knows, someone in here might become a very powerful man or woman that might be able to make negotiations and deals to another country. I know for a fact Koreans likes to deal with their kind. It's like having someone from the opposing country, but that's an American. Sorry if my post doesn't make too much sense lol... its almost 3 am and quiet tired... just wanted to post so we can at least have some faith :) good night! |

Personally, I think republicans see how badly they got fucked over by the Latino vote and are willing to compromise. I do believe CIR is very likely in 2013. There are many hardcore republicans that are now willing to negotiate.

We do have elections in 2014, so I think something will go down next year.

Something will have to go down next year; otherwise we'll have to wait until 2015.....and then some.
Tell your friends and relatives to vote in 2014. |
