BOG Waiver/ Cal grant?
 

Hello all, i am currently attending East Los angeles college and would like to know if anyone had more information on this for my college. i know we will be able to apply for the fee waivers starting 2013, would that mean we need to show tax information from 2011 or 2012? (my parents made good money 2011, but my dad was laid off early this year and we are struggling with money right now) Thank you

I was trippin too when i was filling my BOG waiver, but when i turned it in the financial aid lady didn't ask me about my parents tax info, and i was approved that same day :D and only paid $16

Starting 2013? My sister already applied for both BOG/CalGrant and recieved money for her college. She will be starting in January.

You can apply now to get your tuition fee waived and then there will be more info available come 2013 regarding Cal-grants.

so ive been waiting for approval to apply for BOG or the financial aid for illegal students but I can still apply for that even if i havent been approved yet right? IAm under the AB540 form anyone familiar with it?

Correct, BOG is for AB 540, so yea just first turn in the AB 540 and then fill out the BOG and turn it in.

So i can do this right now at ELAC?? i want to have my fees waived for Spring 2013. Can i do the BOG waiver now? do i have to show documentation of my parents income on 2011?
