Couldnt get a drivers license.!
 

has any one had any problems getting a drivers license in Tx?? my sister went to the DMV DALLAS to be specific they couldnt verify her status. has any one experienced this?
im thinking the DMV worker didnt do his job correctly, what they did DMV sent a letter to homeland and she got one back but she is going to wait another month until DHS responds or confirms her status once thats done she goes back and get her DL.

the reason that i bring this up is because she encouter the same issue at the SSO. She goes and get a number she gets called and the sso workers says how can i help you she responds im here to apply for a new social, my sister gets her stuff out and she says well you cant get a social with this you need a greencard or a visa and you dont have one. my sister says this is all i have and need in order to get a social the worker keeps talking saying no, then my sister has to explain how she got her employment card she says im a dreamer she say i apply for deffered action , workers says and what is that when did that happen......
the point is that some goverment people donot know what they are doing sometimes i think they need to be more informed and quit fucking up i think is the same thing that happen when she apply for a DL

She SERIOUSLY said that? Oh man that must have been embarrassing considering how the DREAM act has not passed yet. So shes really a DACer lol (nothing wrong with saying you're a dreamer but kinda silly to think it can get you stuff)

did she had one? the correct term was for a social not a NEW one


All you need is an EAD, and a valid proof of evidence (ID,passport, ORIGINAL birth certificate)


And yes, DACA is new and it could be some counties have no idea about it. Its not like it a law or legislation where it got major coverage.Its an executive order that was done quick. so quick didn't give counties a chance to figured it out. I would recommend you guys apply somewhere else. This kind of stuff has been happening everywhere so don't feel bad

These DMV's and SS offices need to learn new shit before turnining away people.. Dumb asses.. Best of luck to your sister

Can I just say that them (people working at these offices) having trouble handling these sort of cases is completely normal and should be expected? This is totally new for them and as such its a learning process. I'm sure they'll catch on as soon as more and more of us keep going up to them and applying for these sort of things. And yeah, they should have already been informed of the process and whatnot but things don't always 'stick' the first time until you run across something multiple times, then you begin to get the hang of it and know whats going on and process the new information.

I'm just talking from experience here, but at one of my old jobs things would just change without any prior notice and I just had to roll with the punches and figure things out as they went. I'm guessing its a similar situation here.

That sucks, i have to be verified by the DHS too. But that was for my ssn.

Thanks for the input guys... she did get a social at then end after my sister disclose her life to the worker lol. but she wasnt successful at getting her DL. she's still waiting on DHS to verify herstatus and sending the letter back to prove to the DMV hopefully soon ill keep yo guys updated on her next try see what happens. yeah I figure that would happened. Some people are being because they are no to on the system yet. But I wonder if waiting is best or you have to contact DHS and ask them about it.

Now that you mention that if she wasnt on the system by now she had to be verified for her social security and she wasnt there wasnt any problems other than the above lol. Thats why i think they didnt do their job right but who know. She will call DHS if she doesnt receive the letter she is expecting should be here next week if not we will raise hell lol......
