Hi just a question ...i been having trouble finding a job ....since my ssn is new i cant apply online ...my question is when its time to renew my ead card ..will you have to show proof that you been working to get it renewed ..or it doesnt matter ..

Your legal presence counts for what it is, you won't need to submit proof.

Uhmmm its really common now that our brand new SSN are not in the system and many people are being rejected because their SSN are not in. Just wait a FEW weeks. When renewal comes, we really dont know. I think it will be the same thing. Send proof of certain years?

Why even worry about ur EAD renewal right now?? For sure u have to show proof u have been here n have been working n also notify USCIS if u move so u can receive the application for the EAD

I think what OP was trying to ask is would you need to show USCIS that you've been working to renew your EAD.

If I understood correctly, the answer is no, you don't. All you have to prove when applying for a renewal is that you're eligible to have it, that's all.

There isn't any actual requirement for you to work if you're work authorized. They do not seem to particularly care about economic necessity, as the I-765WS doesn't seem to have any effect on approvals regardless*, so far I am yet to see one person who received DACA but was denied for a work permit.

The answer would be no. It doesn't matter if you work or not.

* - It seems like we only need to fill it out because 8CFR § 1274a.12 (c)(14) requires those granted Deferred Action to establish economic necessity in order to get a work permit.
