How do you hide your status among friends?
 

Do you hide your status among your citizen friends?
Or are you upfront about it?


I've got a few friends who work for the airlines and they are always inviting me to travel these different places around the world. I always use school as an excuse but lately it's been wearing thin.

If its wearing thin, tell them to fuck off. :) thats what i do.

No I don't hide it anymore. It's really exhausting to hide it.

I don't hide it. My life has been 100x better since I came clean about it.

I don't lol. I tell everybody. I mean obviously I'm not going to go telling people at my gym or in the bus randomly. But every one of my friends knows and they could care less. Not trying to flatter myself..my personality is so great that if I was friends with a very anti-immigrant individual and if I told him/her, they would support legalization immediately..

no one besides my family and 2 of my ex-boyfriends know.

i figure if someone is going to stop being your friend because of a situation that is beyond your control, then you dont need them as friends.

true and real friends will accept you for the person that you are and not the circumstances that surround you.

I hide it and still do but I think they know already. I mean I've been invited to travel and stuff and i always told them i didn't have money or some other excuse. But I think they already know by now. I bet if I told them now they would be like "I already knew." I don't feel like saying anything either. It's not like they would stop being my friends, it's just that they don't care and probably know I'm not comfortable talking about it.

I never hid my status but I never mentioned it either. In most cases, though, it never came up

Was time to apply for colleges. I started to pull back from the
Few friends that I had didn't want them asking me what
College I was applying for because I knew I wouldn't be
Able to go to any. Five years later 0 friends and it still
Hurts not being able to attend college because I really wanted
to go, graduated number 3 in my class for nothing :(
