Any advice on what to bring to the SSA office when my card arrives ? And is this 10 day wait period after receing your approval really true ?

We have an FAQ thread called OFFICIAL: Life After DACA Q&A.
How do I apply for a SSN?
Once you have received your EAD, you will need to find your local SSA Office via the Social Security Administration Website. You must bring with you one of the following along with your EAD to prove your identity:
  • Foreign Birth Certficate
  • Foreign passport
  • U.S. Driver's License
  • U.S. State-issued identification card
  • School record showing age or date of birth
  • School identification card
  • Copy of medical record

nah, the lady took my information and made copies of my passport and EAD, told me that she will check every few days, and once it's in the system, they will send out my SS card. She also gave me her number to call and ask whenever.
