EAD Spelling Dilemma
So here's what happened,
I just received my EAD card in the mail today, everything on the front looks good yet when I turned it back, my middle name was mispelled by ONE letter (Rogue instead of Roque). On the front its only a middle initial so I am ok with that but I don't know how big of a deal it would be for the other agencies. Here are my questions, 1. Can I apply for SSN with this EAD card? 2. Can I also apply for Driver's license with it? I am panicking, USCIS really do hate me. Is there anyone in a similar situation as me? Future thanks to all who answers |
Re: EAD Spelling Dilemma
Is it also misspelled on the envelope? Of course you can apply for a SSN, that's what it's for and you can also use that for your DL.

Thank you so much though I feel a little bit better now. |
Re: EAD Spelling Dilemma
I think he means if he can apply for SSN even with the spelling mistake on the EAD. I'd try to get it fixed if I were you. USCIS made the mistake so you wouldn't have to pay anything.

The same thing happened to my friend. Get your ssn and dl then send it back. Mine arrived yesterday. All smooth. My first and last name only.

She said they let her get it. I think you should be fine.
Edit: She just clarified that it was just for ssn. She hasn't been able to go to dmv. |
