Question about the FAFSA
I don't know if this has been answered before so sorry if its a repeat question but are we eligible to complete a FAFSA? Like, if I reject the Pell Grants and all other types of federal aid but I want the institution that I'm going to be attending to see that my family contribution is predictably small, can I use the FAFSA to give me institutional financial aid?
I hope this made sense lol. |
In texas you do have to fill out the fafsa eventhough you do not qualify for fedaral financial aid. you don't mail it out you turn it in to the financial aid office with some other forms

There's a paper form? I only knew of the online app...
Thanks Ericka! I'll definitely have to check and see if FL state schools allow FAFSA apps from undocumented students too... Or, if anyone already knows that would be great too...since I am pretty lazy about this stuff lol |
Re: Question about the FAFSA
ince August 2008, I’ve traveled between Chicago, IL, Rochester, NY and Buffalo, NY six times by Amtrak and ten times by Greyhound in order to get to my deportation hearings. During these trips, I’ve encountered Border Patrol agents twice on Amtrak and at least five times on Greyhound. The routine is always the same: “Are you a U.S. citizen? What country are you from?” I respond, “No” and show my court notice paper. The agent examines it briefly and moves on.

Re: Question about the FAFSA
I always wondered about this. When I did my studies I never did FAFSA. I'm thinking about getting some more studies done so maybe I will try to apply for it just to see what happens. I'm sure they will deny any federal help but if I can apply for local scholarships then I would be set.
