Not in a million years. A mexican USC friend of mine tried to do that when he was stopped at a bus station, they didn't let him go until they ran his name through their database

This video made my day :)

Thank you for sharing. I get folks just wanna do their jobs, but still nice to know the people have a say in what happens to them.

What??? I really hope you are being sarcastic, even if the tone of your post does not really suggest it.

In case this is your real opinion, then I don't think you realize how the government is suppose to work. It is never suppose to be some entity that gets to do whatever it wants, in the name of national security. The funding for such ridiculous operations as one in the video above comes out from people's taxes, and the federal government takes a lot of those.

Or are you trying to tell me such checkpoints actually benefit anyone or improve our nation's security? They are not border checkpoints, and these agents hardly inspect anything, only stopping those who do not say they are US citizens. They do not catch drug smugglers or any higher-level criminals that could ever warrant spending hundreds of thousands of dollars setting up and manning such a checkpoint with a group of federal agents.

Having close friends in many law enforcement agencies, what the video depicts is absolutely possible. If you know your rights you can really mess with cops. Now having said that, its not a good idea just because you will spend a lot of time going back and forth but in the end you will be let go.

A little dose of civil disobedience is healthy for democracy. I could probably never do that because Im not getting close to a DHS point for a long time.
