How many of you...
literally CROSSED the border from Mexico to the US illegally? Like, sneaking past guards type thing.
I overstayed a visa... but I can't imagine how scary it must be to walk across the border in night time and possibly having a member of the Aryan brotherhood beat you to the ground. |
I don't think it matters, does it?

Moved. This is not DREAM Act related.

I hope none of you found this insulting. I seriously don't mean it in a degrading way, and I have no intention of being intrusive.
I honestly just find it to be fascinating, and have never heard an account of what it's like... Damn my curiosity. ._. |
IT'S OK DAN I THINK THEY KNOW U DON'T MEAN HARM LOLS I CANNOT see myself doing something like that. wow, those people are SO BRAVE they really are. what about the little kids that cross with them? how do they protect them? i mean, it's so dangerous a little kid doesn't know any better and could just get distracted with something and run off from his/her mother's arms and then what? the mother goes after him? but what if she gets caught? and did you know the snugglers raape the women? -i overstayed a tourist visa too, but damn, crossing the border DOES take A LOT of guts.

my friend did it he's 35 years old now but he came over here when he was around 28. He crossed the desert and when they crossed to america the ''coyotes"(smugglers) robbed him, they took everything even his clothes, he was only wearing his boxers in the desert (US side) so he just walked to the highway and sat down waiting for the border patrol to arrest him, so they found him arrested him and released him the next morning in Mexico and he tried to cross again a couple of hours later and made it. So now he's here in Florida, stays in his own apartment has a 2006 hyundai tiburon and all kinds of stuff but still no papers though. He says he's living the american dream even though he has no papers.

I did not find your question to be insulting, but it is something that i do find hard to talk about. I did not cross the river, but my mother did. I don't even want to ask her how it went i just couldn't bear to hear her tell me what she went through. I crossed the bridge with nothing. I was about 6 years old went in a car with my legal aunt and uncle. didn't ask a thing. just like that. isn't life so ironic. it is a luck of the draw.
