Going Out On Dates Help(Still waiting on DACA)

I'm 26, live with parents and have no car.

So I'm slowly getting my inner confidence back(lost it all after graduation college) knowing that I'll get my DACA approved in the coming future. With that confidence, I've been going back to my old self of approaching girls and having the potential to go out on dates.

At the moment, the only thing that's preventing me from asking the girl out is a lack of a car and living situation. This really wasn't a issue for me in college.

I'm sure many of you are in the similar situation. How do you guys usually work your way around these damn obstacles? I have friends that can give me rides, but it's when the date ends is when I think it could get awkward for me.

Any advice/experiences, simple or in-depth, would be appreciated.

Thanks!

P.S. Hurry the F Up Vermont!

If you live in suburb, there isn't much you can do. If she has a car, maybe you can ask her to drive. I know it's embarrassing to ask, especially for guys. Hopefully you'll get approve soon.

take 3 months to get in shape while u get your EAD, then get a job, get a car, so you can look like a 26 year old. Getting rides was cute back when we were 17-18 lol. Patience!!! in a couple of months you will be showing the results of your college education ;)

^ agree. Use this time to get in shape, pickup a hobby to have something to chat about with the ladies, pick up some dating manuals.. I hear The Game by Neil Strauss is pretty good. Just have patience for another couple of months. If you live in a city then just take public transport, that's pretty normal in big cities.
If there is a girl that you really really like and must ask out NOW then just be honest with her and tell her you are waiting to get your work authorization to get a license.

I definitely don't plan on asking her for a ride. At the end of the day, the ride really isn't the issue(we'll see). Just not sure how to deal with topic, if/when the conversation somehow comes up.

lol, I've already did all that. Btw, The Game material is somewhat outdated, but it's still got some good stuff in there. I guess I have to be patient then, even though I have a girl ready to ask out. My inner game is at an all time high right now, but this current situation im in right now is bringing it slowly down.

Vermont!!!

I'm a girl and I wouldn't care if the guy I liked didn't have a car!! If somebody asks why you haven't gotten a car, tell them you're saving money to buy one. Talk about how bad the economy is, etc, or you can just wait...

Good luck.

Wanna know how I know you're 12?

Lol OP, just say you're saving up for a car.. I know before I was able to drive, I'd be embarrassed cause everyone I knew would drive past me while I was waiting at the bus stop in the rain or blistering heat.. Horrible times..

God bless Barack Obama :D
