They start giving IDs to illegals this month~ woooohoooooooooooooooooooo~ how many of u ppls r going? I know I am~I am ganna be living there for 1 month.......... :D

u can only use that id in new haven, it will not be recognised anywhere else so if you wanna move to new haven permanently go ahead. new haven is in CT

One reason not to get it is that you would stick out like a sore thumb with a huge "I'M AN ILLEGAL ALIEN" post-it attached to it. Seeing how everybody else who needs an id either gets a license or a state id, there's no reason for anyone with papers to get this. Unless of course the id looked like a normal state id, but since it won't be accepted anywhere else but New Haven i really doubt it.

my dad got pulled over and he only had an international DL and the cop told him if he had a DL/ID from anywhere else(Oregon) he wouldve taken him to jail but the guy was nice and let him go

that's true...out of state DL are not valid anymore....that's a no lic ticket and jail....jail for whatever reason means an ICE hold followed by a free ticket to your home country and there's nothing an atty can do.....

migth just wanna keep it safe and try to be the best driver in the world.

So you mean a legal resident of newyork with a newyork dl cant drive in california??? You guys dont make sense, what if you are on vacation in a different state and you have to drive???
