It seems like no one is interested in the Dream Act or Like bill
The Gang of Eights version is treating dreamers the same way as non dreamers. ,the house version doesn't seem to have one either since there has been virtually no talk about it. At this rate, it seems like DACA is the only thing we are getting especially since DACA isn't really a change of status thing but a deferred action thing from being deported for 2 years. So chance are of them requiring us to apply for a to be immigration bill like everyone else seems high.
But who knows really, they could release the actual bills and have a section that talks about Dreamers. |
Re: It seems like no one is interested in the Dream Act or Like bill
I heard something about there being 3 types of applicants.
1) Dreamers and field workers 2) The people with immediate USC relatives 3) Everyone else Is that not happening anymore? |
Re: It seems like no one is interested in the Dream Act or Like bill
Just field workers, and they need to stay committed for working on the fields for 5 years straight.
But no dreamers at all, come to think of it, we haven't really been much about how Dreamers will be treated... I remember a few months reading some outlines the Gang of Eight version would have and it said a lot of good things for dreamers. But today, they completely change what was their stance a few months ago |
Re: It seems like no one is interested in the Dream Act or Like bill
How do we know this without specifics? We're simply reading articles for the information they can potentially give......at least I am.We need patience until they release the actual legislation to read. We're going to have the Senate and House bill to read potentially sometime soon. The Senate bill will have to have some sort of draft for the hearing on the 17th.

Re: It seems like no one is interested in the Dream Act or Like bill
hopefully were the first in line and the green card process takes as long as the DACA, which is kinda fast. My Daca was quickly approved

You know, I did say this in the OP |
Re: It seems like no one is interested in the Dream Act or Like bill
I hope they include DACA beneficiaries..

Re: It seems like no one is interested in the Dream Act or Like bill
that is what worrying me, that they completely are leaving DACA out of this and treating as its own thing, with out the actual bill for us to read, it likely they do a "DACA beneficiaries need not apply" and just leave us out . DACA itself could be what prevents us from future CIRs......I really hope they don't just stop here and assume, "Well, the job is done, ,DACA is basically fixing their status already"
but w/e lets wait and see whats up |

Or They all agree that we should be expedided since we already been through background checks and have been screened and have proven that we've had the required presence to qualify Option 2 is what I'm hoping for :P I don't wanna wait 15 years for Gc/Citizenship, I'd like to go into the navy and hopefully pursue a political career when I'm older :) maybe become a governor, that'd be nice lol |
Re: It seems like no one is interested in the Dream Act or Like bill
yeah at this point we can just speculate really and see that 1700 page bill.
It could also go another route thought............ say all 3 bills don't pass and their last resort is introducing the Dream Act or an alternative bill to it |
