An immigrant: true hero in Boston Attacks

"The man in the cowboys hat is Carlos Arredondo . He is an immigrant [from Costa Rica] citizen of the U.S. who lost his son in Iraq and is now a peace activist and speaker. When the explosions happened, you can see that he did not hesitate to run towards the chaos and help, obviously trying to get this poor man out of there and to hold a tourniquet on one of his severed legs. Later, he was being interviewed, visibly shaking from shock and holding an American flag, soaked in the blood of other people . Carlos Arredondo's selflessness and bravery should be known and applauded." true hero. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Arredondo http://www.necn.com/04/15/13/Activis...9&feedID=11106 |

Unfortunately for that guy on the wheel chair, his legs were blown off. I was able to see a Youtube video from CNN that showed that horrible video. I wish him the best of luck.

Re: An immigrant: true hero in Boston Attacks
The photo of this injury was one of the most gruesome pictures I had ever seen.
It was not simply the fact that the lower portions of both of his legs were completely blown off, but that he was still awake and had that utterly hopeless look on his face, combined with the fact that this incident happened at a marathon made the whole image far, far more horrifying. |
