I just called Durbin, some bad news people.
 

the guy said that Durbin will bring up the dream asap, just when he transfer me to a more experienced staff, he was like, currently our staff are in meeting with his constituents and i think these people are against Dream Act.

Listen, can we please stop posting such dramatic threads? Those constituents could be a very small group of people who were able to get a meeting with the Senator, such as reps from FAIR. Do you honestly believe that Durbin will give up his support for the DREAM Act? That is highly unlikely.

people, dont just take one word from one staffer and just make assumptions that everything will go downhill after that. we all know that durbin is from a fairly liberal state and there is no way in hell that just because a few constitunts. show up against it that he will follow their lead. afterall, he is the main sponser of this legis.

we already knew that there might be some senators who oppose this. Its an educational issue, but an immigration issue as well.

i think that the heading of this thread needs to be changed or deleted all together. this morning has been nothing less than a rollercoaster ride already.
