Will I get a tracking # for my EAD?
 

So I was approved this week and I got the mail/ text that my card was sent but I was not provided with any tracking number to track it online via usps..Will I get another text/mail with the tracking number? The reason I ask this is because I want to pick up the EAD the morning it arrives at the post office because my brothers EAD was stolen once they delivered it to our home and now he has to pay again and its a mess.

my EAD was approved and I think 3 days later I received another email giving me a tracking number.

So far I received two one that I my card was in production and the second one said this but no tracking#:


On April 18, 2013, we mailed the new card directly to the address we have on file. You should receive your new card within 30 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

You likely won't get a tracking number for a day or two after that update. At least that's how it went for me.

I called today and got the tracking number after talking to a representative. The wait on the phone was like 20 minutes but it was worth it.

Your status will update with the tracking number once USPS has possession of your EAD.
