what documents do we need for a learners permit to get a licence in NYC?!!!
Do i need an eye Exam, or they do it in the DMVoffice?

It's a point system, bring your SSN, EAD and a debit card or high school diploma

And yes it's done at the DMV office, it's not even really an eye exam it's just you standing 20 feet away and they ask you to read from a line..

Nice, thank you i save my Money,, i was thinking to get an eye exam and take it to the office!!! ..debit car is fine i have one,thank very much Happyman607!!!!

My brother got 8 years valid on his NY License, but only 2yrs when he did his I.D

was this a clerical error? I guess he got lucky

whether his card is valid for 8 years or 80 years, the fact that he has a temporary visitor stamp that expires well before that invalidates the whole card.

hey, huys i wanted to tell you, that i got my learners permit today.. very easy..just took my EAD, SOCIAL and MY debit card!! thats it easy as that!!

Test is simple 20 questions,, all the most important questions about road regulations, pedestrian rights, alcohol restriction and law procedures if they get you with alcohol!! Basically it not hard if you study the manual !!!
