If Dream Act passes, what documents would i need to have ready?

Just to let you know, my visa expired 4 years ago.. I came to USA when i was 12, i am now 17.. Finished High school, and now going to college.. So just let me know please, thank you.

There are numerous documents that can be used. However, a high school transcript proves a lot.

That question is actually not addressed in the FAQ. We should add some information there. I'm not informed enough to give an insightful answer though.

A high school transcript lists all final grades for every class ever taken in high school. However, this only proves 4 years.
If you guys were like me, I personally kept every single report card and progress report I received in high school in preparation for an instance like this. I also have close to every report card/progress report/immunization forms/awards dating back to kindergarten.

It would serve everyone well to search for these documents if they still are in your possession.

Additionally, one can prove continuous residence to a degree in much the same way that many community colleges require an undocumented individual to prove that they have at least been in the country for over a year - go in with a parent who can provide some sort of documentation of living in a house, apt, etc. (tax returns, etc)

Of course, only if they can offer proof of having arrived in the United States before reaching 16 years of age;
Proof of residence in the United States for a least five (5) consecutive years since their date of arrival.

Word of Advice: If and when DREAM passes. Do Not go through the application process by yourself. Hire a reputable attorney. The money paid then will be more than worth it.

I myself have my high school transcripts, middle school report cards, and even some of my report cards from elementary high school, tho they are not all complete, because i been here since i started kindergarten, it shows proof that i have been a resident and have been going to school here for more than 5 years. school transcripts are probably the most important thing. unless you have official documents, that are addressed to you. or shows proof of your residency.

You can also use bank records, immunization charts, and utility bills [yours or your parents'] to prove residency.
