just applied for a credit card...

...And got approved! I applied for the Capital One for new comers and got approved in less than 2 minutes. It has a relatively high APR but as long as I paid the card in time i should be fine, no annual fees and 2% rewards. Gotta start building the cradit somehow...

I have two Capital One credit cards and yesterday I finally got a credit score of 700. Took me 2 months to finally have a score :)

I literally just applied for this Capital One Newcomers card and immediately got denied.

I've been approved since November :\

I got a Secured Card from Bank of America with a credit limit of $700. Fortunately for me, I will receive my $700 back in 12 months. The only negative thing about the Bank of American Secured card is the $39 annual fee.

Congrats. Few tips now..Don't surpass 35% of your credit limit. Preferably keep it between 20-30%. Don't miss any bill. Watch your credit skyrocket. Right now what you'll have is "light credit" Once you apply for an auto loan, your credit will diversify and what you do is set up direct debit and after like 6 months..start paying more towards the loan. Your credit will go up incredibly. Cap One is good for starting out but it's a very stingy company. They will not increase your limit. So keep building credit for some time and then apply for other cards. I personally like Discover.

Actually, your credit score increases highest when your utilization rate is between 1% and 10% of your credit , but yes, if you follow what 2Face said, then your credit score will become 750+ within 2 years

Thirty through thirty-five percent of your limit is not much. Where did you get those numbers from?
