I adopted 2 illegal hispanic girls
I met Melisa and Melina about 5 years ago when they were 10 and 13. They had been brought here by thier parents when they were 3 and 6. I adopted them when they were 12 and 14.5. They got thier passports this summer and are now US CITIZENS!!!
Melina is in college and has a job. Melisa is on the honor roll at her High School, has a job, and is going to start a club to support the dream act. Adopted them was the only way I found to give them the oppurtunity they deserve. Since then I have met several more deserving kids in the same situation. BUT I CAN"T ADOPT THEM ALL!! We need to get this bill passed! |

I think he may have assumed you are some kind of internet "troll" - trying to bait people. Sometimes people get very disillussioned very quickly. I actually heard about this option at a foster care presentation I was at, but I don't think many people know about it. Were these girls you already knew ? I know that I see some of my kids friends who are in this situation and it just is so sad and frustrating.

please explain
trolling? Who is trolling?
Who would be paranoid? I read the FAQ. Sorry.. maybe I am slow. |

Trolling is when you go somewhere on the internet and try to make trouble. Several people from anti immigration sites have done so already, and have also been using things that individual members of this site have said against us. So we try to avoid that.
I've thought about what I would do if any of my in laws ever got deported. I've considered the option of taking their kids in, but then, they have a lot of kids. It's nice to know that you helped out these girls, though. |
