No, we are not. It is illegal for an illegal alien (us) to own a gun. Even with DACA

Because the constitution doesn't give us that right. The 2nd Amendment say, "people" not person. So the court ruled that People is defined as people who are part of a society or belong to a community. Aka Citizens of that said country. However, any other right that says person applies to illegal alines as well. Just not people.

Case in point

Focus on more important things.idk why you would even start a thread on something so irrelevant to people in our situation

I don't understand how that's irrelevant to our situation? He's asking if we're able to apply for a firearm permit under DACA.

Just because you might not be interested in guns doesn't mean that it's irrelevant. That's like telling someone that their question about driver licenses are irrelevant because you ride a bicycle.

Perhaps the OP wants to become a security guard and is wondering if he would be able to apply for a firearm permit or maybe he just likes firearms, either way, it's not irrelevant.

No offence, but as someone who works in Detroit, I'm greatly interested in this topic.

Well, take MIdreamer for example, who says he works in Detroit, perhaps he fears for his own safety, or the safety of his family. I don't see how someone's safety should be the last thing on their mind.

Others simply might want a firearm just to go to the shooting range on the weekends and have some fun. Being approved for DACA doesn't mean that you should simply focus on work or studying and not do anything else, you now have a DL and ID and it makes sense that people want to find out what they're able to do with DACA.
