Name on my Social Security is different than my passport and birth certificate. Help?

I'm 17 and I just finished my Drivers Education class. I will be applying for my license soon but on the last day of class, the instructor said that all of your documents has to match (something like that). However, the name on my SSN is not exactly the same as my birth certificate and passport. For example (not using my real name): My name on my birth certificate and passport is Jason Robert Leo Smith. However, on my SSN it's only Jason Robert Smith. It doesn't have my other middle name (if you guys want to know, yes, I DO have 4 names). I will be going to the DMV soon and I was just wondering if this would be a problem? Would I still be able to get my license? What do I do? Do I just go back to the SS office and ask them to put my FULL name?

What do you mean your other middle name.

You have two middle names? I know that the middle name is not required on the SSN, but some of the employees still make you put it on there just so that it matches up with what it says on your EAD.

I have 4 names. Instead of first name, middle name, last name. Mine is first name, middle name, middle name, last name. Like Jason Robert Leo Smith (not actually my name)

My EAD and SSN match up. However, they don't match up with my passport and birth certificate because on my birth certificate and passport its my full name with both of my middle name but on the EAD and SSN it's just one of my middle name.

My brother has four names also. It is a little different than your situation he has first name, middle name, paternal last name and maternal last name. There is a twist with us though; our paternal last name is actually a name itself which makes his entire name be the exact format as yours. The only difference with him and you is that he provided his full name on his DACA and was included in EAD and got his license no problem. I suggest that you explain your situation to the DMV.

Oh man, I think I put my full name when I first applied, but I forgot. When I got my EAD though, I went to the SSN office and had my passport with me. They looked at it and I'm pretty sure they had to notice my FULL name and that one of my middle name was not included on my EAD. However, the guy didn't say anything and continued to type my information on the computer, photocopied my passport, etc. It was a pretty quick process. Maybe he didn't notice it or something?

Well anyway, what do you suggest if I explain my situation to the DMV but they still won't let me get my license? Is it possible to go to the SSN office again and request a name change or something? And on my EAD too?

I wouldn't say anything to the DMV unless they bring it up first. Hand in the required documents, and only if they bring up the name issue then explain it to them.

For the license I only needed to bring EAD and ssn card. If you say that both I these match then there shouldn't be a problem. Just don't say anything to them as the above reply says.

Well I live in New Hampshire and this is the required documentations to get a license:

Now, the NH DMV allows student ID cards. So I was thinking of just bringing my passport and student ID card.

According to the link you are missing residency requirement; what are you going to use to prove that. Are you working and have pay stub or maybe a bill is under your name? You can use these according to DMV.
