Social Security question

My DACA got approved, I received my workers card on August 26th and I went to the Social Security office on the 27th to apply but they said I couldn't get a number because SS couldn't verify with USCIS because my card was new. They said I would get a notice in the mail in up to 10 days. Did anyone else have this problem? And was your new number included in the notice?

Happens sometimes. It might take a while before you receive your SSN.
