Received SS card but with same # HELP!!
 

Ok so I've had this SS card since I was a kid that said "NOT VALID FOR EMPLOYMENT" and that's the number I been working with for years since 06. But I went and applied for my SS card after being daca approved and received it today but it has the same number I been working with in the past, but now I think about it. The guy at the SSA office asked me if I had ever been issued a SS card in the past. I answered "NO" thinking my old number wasn't valid to work. Does that count as LYING? :/ I'm freaked out cuz I heard that's a big NO NO!!!?!?!?

I;m sure if you had a SSN before DACA SSA would know and would give you the same number, you can't fool around with SSA

I just figured my old number didn't fall into the question cuz it's not valid to work. But I didn't think about it like that! So I won't get in trouble for lying to them? :/ or maybe I'm freaking out for no reason ?

How the fuck is it fraud ? And how is it a legit SS if it wasn't valid for work? What the fuck would I get out of lying to them? If it's fraud ill pm u my full name and report me chump!!

Fraud in trying to obtain another number. Legit numbers are assigned to you by SS administration whether or not valid for work. No, thank you. I don't want your stinky name.

Maybe is not intentional, but claiming that you do not have a SS number while you have one (if is invalid for work, it'll be updated) on a government form, is essentially, for all intent and purpose, fraud.

And the fact that you got the same number, it only meant that they found your old number and update yours. You're very lucky they didn't charge you with anything.

A SS number invalid for work, is still a real SS number.

And why the fuck would I want a different number if I've built credit and all but personal info has my original number on record?? I was kinda hoping to get the same number I just didn't think I would cuz I thought this number was not for employment and only for tax purposes cuz my mom said when she first issued it, that's supposedly why she got it! My only concern is was it wrong that I "not fully understanding the question" said "NO" I wasn't trying to benefit from nothing!
