Cant find the original letter of DACA acceptance letter
I have my EAD, DL and SS. However I cant find the other documents that came with the EAD that shows our status and stuff from USCIS. Is there anyway I can get another copy through USCIS? And what is that approval letter called? Thanks!
I believe its the I821D Consideration of Deferred Action letter |

You likely won't need it as EAD under category C33 is proof of having both - you can't have a work permit without DACA. If you absolutely need a copy of the approval notice then file I-824. Under Part 2 select choice A. Problem being the fee is $405. Alternatively you can file G-369 to get copy of your entire A file. The fee in this case is minimal (roughly 10 cents per page) + few dollars for the search itself. |

You could try to make an infopass appointment with your local USCIS office and try to retrieve a copy of the letter from them.

Thanks for the comments. I'll see if I can make an infopass appointment and get a copy of it. If not I guess the only other way is to pay $405 and get a duplicate copy.

Re: Cant find the original letter of DACA acceptance letter
When you do receive your new DACA acceptance letter, do what I do. Scan all the relevant important DACA documents into the computer and save them as PDF. Print those out and use them if necessary. The original ones I put them away in a safe place that I know won't get lost like in a filing cabinet or closet.
