Hello everyone, I am new to this site,I just recently applied by my self and sent the application on 02/28/2014 and the received it on 03/05/2014 received the receipt thru mail, have not heard anything yet. I am a bit nervous and scared because I was arrested in 1999 for traffic violations (warrants) most of them no DL and no insurance, I was only there less than 24hrs not sure if that will complicate my case, I have no criminal record never been arrested for anything else been here since 1991 when I was 10. anyone with the same situation or similar??

Hello and welcome.

You should be receiving your biometrics letter sometime soon in the next 2 weeks. USCIS has stated that minor traffic violations will not be considered misdemeanors. There are people here that have been approved with similar history. Good luck.

Thanks, I was a bit concerned cause I was actually taken to jail and finger printed.

Welcome Mfuentes,
I think most of us have been pulled over, had our cars taken away, and got finger printed. Like Nycgal111 posted, USCIS stated that traffic violations will not count against you. I hope it's a speedy process for you and good luck!

Awesome is good to know that others have the same issues, hopefully it is a fast process, I hope I get approved!
