Jan '14 Applicants Still on Initial Review
 

Hi guys,

I was wondering if there are any of you who applied in early January 2014 and are still stuck under initial review? I have not received anything after my bio-metrics.

Background:
received form i797c on January 18th (saying they had received my paperwork on Jan 15th). got my bio-metrics done on Feb 19th.. After that I haven't heard anything. I have always been in school so I sent my transcripts from 4th grade to present time (I'm a senior in College), I also sent in a few copies of awards, my marriage certificate and my daughter's birth certificate.. I know I have plenty of evidence thanks to always being enrolled in school (luckily I was in Summer school in June 2012 ) However, I do have a prior misdemeanor from when I was 16 ( I did sent the paper were my county said that i completed probation successfully and my record was expunged when i turned 18... My case is in Nebraska..

If you have a misdemeanor, your case slightly takes longer from my observation. Usually takes 8 months.

I have a misdemeanor from 3 years ago and my app was sent 13 months ago to nebraska and im still waiting... i feel you and youre not alone in this so dont be too upset or worried.
Apparently, as long as its a non significant misdemeanors, misdemeanors wont get you rejected plus your recored was expunged so you should be perfectly fine!

Any luck with your approval? Have you done any e-requests? if so what was the information given to you? I am about to do my first e-request on Wednesday so I am nervous I get a bogus response.

Hopefully that sounds about right! I am just nervous and don't want to keep waiting. I try not to check my status as often but still I am scared!
