question regarding
Okay so the kids coming from Central America what's your take?
Should they be able to stay and get legalize faster then us dreamers that have been waiting for years?. Over the dreamers that have careers, or your parents or the people have have been waiting over five years ? To get at least a license or work permit to progress here?. If this kids get papers more and more will come and that will make way harder for the one hegemony that have been waiting way to long |
Re: question regarding
I seriously believe it's all bullsh*t. There is no such kids and there is no such increase in the amount of people crossing the border. This is just a ploy to not do anything about immigration.

Re: question regarding
apparently Diplok doesn't live in a border state. Anyway there are kids who are allowed to remain in the states and put into foster care, all they have to say is that they're drug mules and they're afraid for their lives. Think of it as the law that the cubans have.

Re: question regarding
No, I don't live in a border state but I'm also not dumb enough to believe everything CNN says.

Re: question regarding
I was discussing this with a fellow dreamer earlier. She argued that it wasn't fair that these kids were getting status faster than any of us who've been waiting years for any type of legality. I was appalled by her statement as it may her sound like one of the anti-DACA/Dream Act crowd.
Personally, I don't care if the government allows these kids to stay, if they have a chance at a decent life away from the violence and poverty, by all means take it. I'm tired of the BS of "I got mine, let me shut the door behind me." |
Re: question regarding
Where have you all heard that these minors will be getting status? The administration has said that most will be deported, the R's want them deported as well. If any were to get status it would be through asylum and that's if they get proper legal counsel to present their case (most won't).
Most of them are coming as a consequence of the chickens coming home to roost as a result of US foreign policy. There should be no animosity toward these kids on our behalf, many of them like us want a better life. |
Re: question regarding
I feel bad for the kids, but you have to think that none of them have contributed to paying taxes or anything like it, if they get some sort of relief it will undermine the efforts that many people have been fighting for in the past decades. As dreamer and someone with out statues I have always try to get out of the radar of the goverment, always paid my taxes, and also payed my local taxes like at store. If this kids and parents get relief it would be like a slap in the face for us because with out them contrubuting they will have a better life then most of us who has suffer for years working odd jobs, paying taxes, staying out of trouble, and also having to pay for our daca($465) fee. If they get relief they should also have to pay a penalty like we all are, we where once at the same age of this kids and we didn't get a free pass at all, so why should they have it easer. Beside if it was a kid from Mexico he or she would get deported right away no questions asked. I might sound selfish but that are my thoughts.

Re: question regarding
This very true, none of this kids deserve papers more then us, or are parents who have been here waiting for years. You do know they will get residency and some even citizenship if they relieve here.
Then they will be able to sponsor their parents and our parents or other dreamers will have to wait and see how this kids and their families get papers over people that have been waiting for a long time. I just don't see how so many kids pass through Mexico without getting hurt or getting kidnapped by narcs.? Come babies kids 6-14yrs cross the beast without getting hurt. Sounds to good to be true. This was planned and very well plan. |
Re: question regarding
We will just have to see how this pans out
