President Obama is supposedly on vacation until August 24th. But the White House is reporting that he is cutting his vacation short and will be back later this week. But for what?

One time I had to cut my vacations short because I had the runs. So who knows why he is going home early.

Pretty much this. He probably booked 2-3 weeks and after the first one he realized how much he misses his own computer and how much the place blows.

Obama move his ass on immigration? Very unlikely, even DACA was pussyfooting around since it's not even an executive order, it's just a policy memo by the last Secretary of DHS (meaning that any subsequent one can take it away with a strike of a pen, EOs can on the other hand only be overwritten by other EOs or acts of congress).

He's only heading back to Washington for one day (Monday Aug 18th), taking care of business, then heading back on vacation. It might not be disappointing.

how high are the chances (or are there even plans) to get some relieve for ppl already deported, but spouses of US-Citizens?

I doubt that will happen, especially if the person was already deported.
