This lawyer talking about the Dream on Despierta America
 

Today my mom and uncle told me that there was this lawyer, something Lobo, on despierta america that morning show on univision. I have seen him a few times and he seems to be correct on all immigration issues. Anyways they said that this girl came on and wanted to know if there was any chance of her to become legalize and the lawyer said that all she could do was to not leave the country and to wait for this law that would only benefit undocumented students and that it was going to come up again through the first months of 2008 on the congress. I am pretty sure he was talking about the Dream, he also said that this legislature seems to be the only immigration reform law that would be pass before anything. So I came to see if you guys had posted anything similar to this, like any new hope that the dream would come up again on the senate floor or anything like that. But I cant seem to find anything on this, so if you guys know anything could you guys post something about it. I was actually going to post this on the Lounge but I didnt cause I dont know how important this might be. But this big shot lawyer didnt just say this to make the girl feel better, he said it cause he knows something or he wouldnt have said anything at all.

I agree, this lawyer really knows what he is talking about....I hope that his predicton is right and that the DREAM Act is presented in Congress again. I do think that it is probably the only immigration legislation that has a chance of passing.

maybe. we all know that the congress is willing to pass the dream act, if we play our cards rigth.....

I really hope he knows something. We've already heard of some many people "knowing" about these things only to find out they were talking about proposals that already failed.

I am highly skeptical... but I do know that organizations and all will try to lobby and stuff. But being my cynical self, 2008 is not a good year for any legislation that is related to immigration to pass...
