Contract Job Work Permit Question
So I was offered a position in my field which I accepted. This job is basically for a whole school year so from september to june 2015 now the question is that my current work permit expires in April 2015 and the job goes till june 2015. I of course plan to reapply for my work permit in the next couple of months and will be accepted as I have done nothing but good. My only question is will I have any trouble with this job regarding my work permit expiration before the job length ends. Had anyone experienced something similar?

Re: Contract Job Work Permit Question
Depends on the employer, some use a system where they get notified when it expires. If they ask you for the document months in advance, then tell them its being processed and you should have the new one when the other one expires. However they can legally let you go if the EAD is NOT provided to them by the expiration date (They may get into legal trouble).
Don't think too much about it, you can get this resolved with HR pretty fast, since its a contract. |

So you accepted, is that it? Have you gone through the hiring process yet?
