Forum Colors

Nick,

Is there any way to change the forum thread colors from the current dreadful ashen blue/purple to something brighter like the original.

I believe if you lighten up the colors, the forum would look less congested.

Then again, it might not even be possible.

Just a suggestion.

:)

Hmm, I was thinking of maybe something like this:

Keep things light and fresh looking.

You mean navy background instead of the gray? That might work. I'll see. I'm trying to match the forum theme to the new front page. Thats going to change too.

Well, not necessarily blue. That was just a random color I picked.

Choose whatever, but I find white works well and gives things a nice clean look. Light gray colors do the same trick as well.

Thing is, too much red, or salmon-colors seem somewhat distracting. The red in the logo acts as a sort of vignette for the page layout. You don't want to overkill it.

My main gripe is that currently, there are too many connecting (adjacent) shades of blue/purple. Adding a splash of white in between them would liven up the place, and create an illusion of "negative" space, which is essential to have when designing anything.

Or you can make everything Red and Green seeing as it is Christmas!@!

ha.

Just do trial and error.

Nick, can you do something like customizing colors in the user control panel? I don't know if this possible or if it's necessary... It's okay if you can't. I just thought it would be cooler.

I like the red, but then I'm not sure if that shade of red and that shade of blue fit together.

The colors are fine sheesh, how do you change the colors Nick? Do you have to know some code or basic web design or what? Just curious... not my field lol.

Then you wouldn't really understand even if he explained. Well, unless your IQ's 140 or higher :-P
