Form I-9 Employee Information

I'm trying to fill out the application form for employment. I am using my EAD as a proof that I'm authorize to work. However, there is a question regarding the Visa type. As DACA has expired VISA, I put OTHER but there is a field for DESCRIPTION. What should I put under the description? Could someone help me please. It's my first time getting a job and I don't know how what to put.

Did someone disclose their e-mail and phone number to DHS as this is one of the questionnaire as well in completing I-9? In case of mismatch name, they said that DHS can contact you.

You can't get a job legally without work authorization. You must wait till you get a rewnewed EAD my man.

I have a valid unexpired ead. However the HR of my company participate in e-verify and they are asking my Visa number as part of the e-verify system.

Now my question is do I have to say I'm under Daca because i cannot provide my Visa as it's expired.

Well tell them that you do not have nor require a visa. Same as a permanent resident, they just to see the work permit and put down the A number on the application form and ignore the field which asks for a visa number, there's on "OR" there for a reason.

If they keep insisting then tell them that you instead want a signed note saying that they denied you employment due to a lack of a visa when you possess a valid employment authorization card. Record the conversation, since they will likely say no. Then go to a lawyer and sue their pants off for citizenship discrimination.

As the wise man above me just mentioned, you must tell them straight up that you are AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES. You don't have to say anything else and they don't need to hear anything else. Be assertive. Tell them you don't have any visa if they ask. Give them your unexpired EAD and SSN that clearly states "Valid for work with DHS Authorization Only" PS. Take a look at your original post. You are not clear. What do you mean, "As DACA has expired VISA" ? There is nothing on the I-9 form that asks for Visa type. On the first page, just check the box that says:

"An alien authorized to work until: " and proceed to put your USCIS A number under the first line. It's located on your EAD for your convenience.

Good luck.

Re: Form I-9 Employee Information

Thank you guys. They keep asking me about the Visa and they said they cannot move on the process without entering the Visa# as part of the E-Verify. I said that EAD should suffice. I told to HR that I don't have a Visa so it's not applicable. I have Employment Authorization card to work legally. I also told them that if they want to E-Verify, they can call the USCIS and use my USCIS# to verify that I'm allowed to work. They told me they will follow up with me tomorrow.

By the way I called the USCIS today right after I got off from work. The lady I spoken with was so nice and helpful. She told me to tell my employer to call USCIS if they keep asking my Visa# that's why I provided to HR the USCIS phone# and call that number as part of their E-Verify.

I'm just a little worried that I might have pissed them off and turn against me. Hopefully not! :(
