Registering with Selective Service - No SSN

I don't get how this even works. You just put the name, address, birthday on the forum and leave social blank. Then you get the card in the mail.

How do they even verify you are you?

Just go to post office put all info, leave SSN if you don't have one, that's all. A few weeks later you will get a letter with your selective service card

Some of my stuff has slightly different names on it. Do you think it will be a problem?

They just made it seem like registering was huge deal when I was applying for financial aid. Its so important yet I feel like I could put my dogs name on the card and they would get one.

All you need is the card, once you get a social you can update it.
