For those who have renewed your driver's license, is the EAD the only thing they ask for? Is it a fast and easy process? I'm going to renew mine tomorrow in the morning (I'm from TX by the way).

Im from TX and they didnt renew my DL. They said they are awaiting a 2nd verification from USCIS. I think many dreamers in tx are experiencing the same issue. Take your ss and ead, but don't be disappointed if they say you need to wait 2nd verification. Keep us posted.

My DL in CT expires in 2020 but EAD expires march, 2015. Some time in Dec I plan in giving the DMV a call or a visit to make sure there isn't any issues.

They aren't supposed to have the expiration longer than the terms of the work auth but it could be a state by state thing?

How long have you had to wait for the verification? Is it because you just got approved?

Recently renewed Dreamer from Texas here. I'm currently waiting on my work permit so I can renew. I was hoping this would be an easy, walk in and walk out process. :(

I just went, and got it renewed. Took about 45 min for the whole process. All they asked for was my permit and my current license. I paid $25.
