Just came back from Brazil on AP
 

Hello Guys, I just wanted to share my experience on my trip to Brazil on AP with DACA.
So I applied for my AP back on November 7th 2014, I received the approval on December 4th. They gave me the Grant from Dec22th to Jan25(Which it was what I requested).

So I left US on December 2nd, came back yesterday Jan6th.
Came from Sao Paulo(Brazil) to Miami, where I went thru immigration.
When I showed my paperwork to the officer he asked How I got the Parole, I told him it was thru DACA, he said "Is this that thing when people got here young?".
I said, "Yes, this is the Childhood Deferral Action.
He Said: "You are gonna have to go to the room"
I said: "ok".
Another officer came and took me and my passport along with my parole to a different room, which was PACKED. Some people were there for over 1 hour.
I got into the Room at exactly 5:17PM.
At 5:35PM, another officer called my name. I approached the window and he gave me my paperwork back and Said: "You are good to Go".

I haven't really read many other post regarding people's experiences with leaving/returning the country. I had a nice experience with Miami Airport. I would recommend coming back thru it.

Hope this can help anyone thinking about going out of country on AP.

Nice! Thank you for sharing. I will travel in March to Mexico for work. I am waiting on my application at the moment and hopefully it will go well.

Nice ! I already applied for AP on december 17th and im still waiting for the answer! Im brazilian also and i live in ft lauderdale, so hopefully ill have the same procedure as you! Bom saber que tudo foi bem pra voce! I have a question, you said that u granted from dec 22th to January 25 and u said that u left USA ON DECEMBER 2th? Is it correct?

Great to hear! congrats on the advance parole and thanks for sharing your experience! So is it true that you left on December 2nd or was that a typo as you may have meant Dec 22nd?

Hey man! Congrats!
I am new to this forum- i too got my AP and i will leaving to Mexico City tomorrow from San Francisco. Do you need your AP going out? Or just when boarding back?

I am nervous!

ORFireman, please come back to this thread and post you experience when you get back to US or to Mexico (preferably both)

Which line did u take on your way back? Resident line or visitor line?
U get two copies of the AP,the first ine u are supposed to give to an officer when u are leaving US, where did u find this officer to give him the fisrt copy or you just handle to the airline?

Hey man,
You will only need to present your AP on your way back here. make sure you take both originals.
