Moving to another state? What do I need to do to ensure a smooth renewal process.
 

title says it all; if I were to move to another state, what can I do to make sure that my renewal process goes as easy as possible? Let's say I'm moving from IL to FL. I already have my IL state ID- would it cause any problems?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

You would get id's for that state.

If you're still waiting on your app while you move, you have to notify USCIS so they can send your stuff to the right address.

Otherwise, changing your state IDs are fairly easy. Check the state dmv website to see what documents you will need to present to get it.
